Inner Self Reflection

Well, this was for another school project. We were supposed to create a self portrait based on an inner reflection of ourselves. Me, I like to run. Not for track, or sports, or anything like that. More like the feeling of freedom of movement and exploration. That's what drives me.

That's why I picked my two characters from my favorite hobbies to represent that:Sonic and Wally West (the Flash). Why is Wally in a different costume? Because that's what he would wear if I were to redesign him in my personal style. After all, this is my reflection.

The conflict comes from the idea that Sonic and Wally represent two different futures for me. As a student, I still have time to pick a career, but that time is running out (no pun intended!) fast. Maybe I would have loved to design the next great Sonic game, but that's behind me, now. At the same time, I would love to draw comics, but right now, I don't yet have the skill or experience required. But, I know that if I really wanted to, both options are totally available to me.

The medium is tradition paper and paint (don't ask me which kind, I don't know) with some touching up in photoshop. Constructive Criticism is much appreciated!
